About this fabric

The colour reads between warm ivory and a very light grey, with a muted depth that catches the fine linear detail without becoming stark. Repeated fan-shaped forms overlap across the surface, creating a gently rhythmic pattern with a hand-drawn, twig-like character. At 318gsm and 274 threads per cm, this is a substantial, closely detailed fabric suited to both upholstery and drapery. It has a 142cm usable width, with a sizeable 86.2cm vertical repeat and 71cm horizontal repeat to consider when cutting.

How to use it

Pair Tessen Oyster with warm white, pale stone and light timber for a calm, tonal room, or use it to soften darker taupe and charcoal pieces. The low-contrast oyster-and-grey palette makes the radiating pattern particularly effective on a reading chair, headboard or full-length curtain.

Use its softly balanced oyster tone to bring gentle pattern and light texture to upholstery, curtains or blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
