Momentum 14 Fabrics FabricHAF0418-04

Translate Coast presents a cool blue-grey ground overlaid with charcoal, brush-like lines that form an irregular woven grid. Its layered marks create gentle depth, with lighter areas allowing the ground colour to show through.

About this fabric

This 205gsm textile has a 142cm usable width, making it a versatile mid-weight choice for upholstery or drapery. The design combines loosely vertical and horizontal strokes into overlapping rectangular fragments, rather than a precise geometric check. Its 32.5cm vertical and 35.2cm horizontal pattern repeats keep the charcoal markings clearly visible while maintaining a measured rhythm across the cloth. A 176-threads-per-centimetre construction gives the surface a closely woven appearance, while the cool blue-grey and softened charcoal palette keeps the overall effect calm and contemporary.

How to use it

Use Translate Coast to upholster a compact armchair, dining seat or headboard where its cool blue-grey tone can temper warmer timber and leather. As curtains, it would bring graphic definition without overwhelming a room, especially alongside chalky neutrals and brushed metal.

A versatile mid-weight textile whose cool blue-grey ground and charcoal linear pattern bring tailored texture to upholstery and drapery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Translate Coast without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
