About this fabric

This 300gsm fabric combines overlapping botanical forms in blue-grey, slate, muted taupe and pale grey, with the light ground keeping the overall colourway airy rather than deep. The leaves vary from soft, hazy silhouettes to darker slate accents, creating visible tonal depth across the swatch. With a useable width of 138cm and a 66cm vertical by 68cm horizontal pattern repeat, the design offers a clear but not oversized rhythm for upholstery or drapery. Its 60m standard length and 19.5 threads per cm complete the supplied specification for this colourway.

How to use it

Pair this cool marble, blue-grey and slate palette with chalky whites, pale oak and brushed silver for a calm coastal room. On seating, use it with plain grey-blue cushions; at the window, the pale ground will keep the botanical pattern feeling light.

Use the cool, pale blue-grey palette to soften upholstery, curtains or relaxed layered schemes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Expose Marble/Coast/Slate without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
