Transverse Marble

Momentum 14 Fabrics FabricHAF0419-03

Transverse Marble presents a cool, pale sage-grey ground crossed by sharp ivory lines and angular chevron-like forms. The restrained contrast keeps the large-scale geometry light rather than dramatic.

About this fabric

This 236 gsm woven fabric combines a soft sage-grey tone with chalky ivory linear shapes, creating a quiet geometric surface with clear directional movement. The pattern repeat measures 107 cm vertically by 69 cm horizontally, so the zigzag fragments read as a substantial, all-over composition when viewed across a wider length. With a 141 cm usable width and 74.1 threads per centimetre, it offers a practical mid-weight handle for both upholstery and drapery applications. The pale ground has a softly muted, cool appearance, while the ivory bands catch the light more brightly against it.

How to use it

Pair this pale sage-grey colourway with warm white, stone and light timber for a calm contemporary scheme. On a chair or bench, its ivory angular lines can act as a gentle graphic accent; across curtains, the open ground will keep the pattern airy.

Use this cool pale sage-grey geometric weave to bring structured movement to upholstery, cushions or relaxed curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Transverse Marble without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
