About this fabric

The close weave creates subtle shifts between charcoal, grey and muted taupe threads rather than a printed motif, giving the fabric gentle tonal movement as the light changes. At 517gsm, it has the visual weight and structure suited to upholstery. The usable width is 139cm, with a 40m standard length for larger projects. Both the vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are 0cm, making this plain woven texture straightforward to position across cushions and upholstered panels.

How to use it

Pair Albany Charcoal with pale timber, warm ivory and brushed metal for a calm, tailored scheme. Its cool, softened charcoal tone also works well as a grounding upholstery neutral against muted blue or olive accents.

Use this softly mottled charcoal weave to bring quiet depth to upholstered seating and tailored furniture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
