Loire Grey

Verona Collection FabricLOIRE

Loire Grey is a calm, softly textured plain with a cool mid-grey tone and a subtle linen-like surface. The weave reads clean and understated, with just enough visible texture to keep the colourway from feeling flat.

About this fabric

Woven in 70% cotton and 30% linen, Loire Grey has the crisp, natural handle you would expect from a cotton-linen blend, while the 18,000 rub test makes it suitable for light domestic upholstery as well as drapes and blinds. The 142cm width gives good coverage for curtains and smaller upholstery projects, and the 483gsm weight gives the cloth a reassuring body without losing its relaxed plain character. Visually, this colourway sits in a soft, even mid grey with a cool, slightly misted cast rather than a stark architectural grey. The fine crosshatch of the weave catches the light gently, adding quiet depth and a tailored finish.

How to use it

Use Loire Grey on slim upholstered chairs, bench seating or neat roman blinds where the soft grey will anchor a room without dominating it. It pairs especially well with chalk whites, pale oak and deeper charcoal accents for a composed, layered look.

A restrained grey linen-look that feels clean and versatile for tailored interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
