About this fabric

Part of the Chambray collection by J Brown, this Fabric design style comes from a range of 23 patterns and is designed for Heavy Domestic use. The cloth is composed of 47% Polyester, 46% BCI Cotton and 7% Linen, with a Martindale rating of 30,000, so it has the practicality expected of a hard-working upholstered textile. In this colourway, the grey sits in a cool steel register, with pale and darker yarns interlacing to create a subtle diagonal weave and a lightly weathered finish. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and professional dry clean in situ care is recommended.

How to use it

Use Chambray Steel on sofas, dining chairs or ottomans when you want a restrained grey that still has texture. Its cool tone pairs well with chalk white, blackened metal and pale oak, and the small-scale weave helps larger pieces feel refined rather than heavy.
