Chambray Pea Green shows a neat small-scale herringbone check with a softly woven, tailored look. The pea-green ground has an earthy, slightly muted finish that feels fresh rather than bright.

About this fabric

Part of the Chambray collection by J Brown, this fabric comes in a Print & Weaves design style with 23 patterns in the range. The visible surface has a crisp, basketed herringbone character, where lighter threads lift the pattern against the deeper green ground. Its 47% polyester, 46% BCI cotton and 7% linen composition gives the cloth a grounded, tactile feel that suits its Heavy Domestic usage and 30,000 Martindale rating. Supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, it is a practical choice where a smart woven look and added performance are both important.

How to use it

The muted pea-green tone works especially well with pale oak, chalky neutrals and deep brown timbers, where the weave can provide structure without looking severe. Use it on a compact sofa, dining chairs or a bench to bring in colour that still feels restrained and tailored.

A fresh, tailored green that works well on neatly upholstered seating or compact accent pieces.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Chambray Pea Green without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
