Chambray Praline

Chambray Fabric28

Chambray Praline has a gentle praline-beige ground with a fine woven herringbone look that adds quiet movement across the surface. Its tone feels warm and softly sunlit, with subtle tonal shifts that keep the cloth from reading flat.

About this fabric

Part of the Chambray collection by J Brown, this design sits within a print-and-weave range of 23 patterns and is made from 47% polyester, 46% BCI cotton and 7% linen. The swatch shows a small-scale herringbone effect in layered beige and tan yarns, giving the fabric a dry, tailored texture with a calm, natural finish. With a Martindale of 30,000 and heavy domestic usage, it is well suited to upholstered pieces that need a smarter neutral presence. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and professional dry clean in situ is recommended.

How to use it

Use this warm praline tone on a sofa, bench or dining chair where you want a neutral that still feels inviting. It pairs especially well with oak, aged brass and chalky off-whites, letting the texture do the work.

A softly textured neutral that brings warmth without feeling heavy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
