About this fabric

This colourway shows a tightly woven, textural plain with no visible repeat, so the surface feels quietly even rather than patterned. In Steel, the grey is cool-toned and lightly variegated, which softens the overall effect and keeps it from looking flat. The 100% polyester composition and 140cm approx width make it a practical choice for made-up pieces, while the C 8 + T 3 care code and K fire code add useful specification detail. Because the tone is neither too dark nor too pale, it can sit neatly in scheme without dominating nearby fabrics.

How to use it

Use Asta Steel where you want a crisp neutral that still has enough texture to lift a room. It pairs well with pale oak, black accents, and soft white upholstery for a balanced, tailored scheme.

A versatile cool grey that works neatly on tailored upholstery or understated curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
