About this fabric

This substantial woven fabric weighs 475gsm and has 39 threads per cm, giving the swatch a visibly dense, structured presence. Its repeating motifs combine radiating fan shapes with angular, faceted panels, creating a precise geometric rhythm across the steel-grey ground. The 128cm useable width is paired with a 19.6cm vertical repeat and a 32.3cm horizontal repeat, useful details when aligning the pattern across upholstered pieces. The cool grey tone and high-contrast linework give Aikyo Steel a composed, contemporary character rather than a warm or rustic feel.

How to use it

Use Aikyo Steel on a clean-lined armchair, dining seat or headboard where its cool steel tone can sit alongside charcoal, blackened timber and pale ash wood. Its disciplined geometric repeat also suits a restrained Japandi or modern Art Deco scheme without overwhelming the room.
