About this fabric
This heavy 513 gsm fabric is well suited to upholstery, with a closely worked woven texture that reads as a fine field of irregular pebble-like blocks. Steel grey, charcoal-grey outlines and lighter raised faces create a softly dimensional surface as the light moves across it. The pattern has a 41 cm vertical repeat and a 35 cm horizontal repeat, allowing the compact geometric texture to remain clearly legible across a larger upholstered piece. Moda Steel is supplied in a standard 40 m length with a 138 cm usable width.
How to use it
Pair this cool, muted steel grey with pale stone, chalky white or smoked timber for a calm contemporary scheme. Its small-scale block texture is particularly effective on sofas, dining chairs and footstools where a plain grey would feel too flat.
