Nuvola Pewter

Dimora FabricCCF0606-03

Nuvola Pewter has a cool pewter-grey ground scattered with chalky white, taupe and muted gold cloud-like markings. The distressed, mineral appearance gives the swatch gentle movement while retaining a composed neutral character.

About this fabric

The 199 gsm fabric shows a softly textured mottled surface, with pale irregular clusters breaking across the grey ground and small warm flecks adding depth. Its 40 cm vertical and 47 cm horizontal repeat spaces the cloudy markings evenly without creating a rigid geometric effect. With a 141 cm usable width and 40 m standard length, this mid-weight textile is suited to both upholstery and drapery applications. The cool grey tone reads particularly softly where the lighter patches catch the eye, while the restrained gold-brown notes prevent it from feeling stark.

How to use it

Use Nuvola Pewter on an occasional chair, headboard or relaxed curtain to bring a cool grey foundation into the room. Balance its chalky highlights with warm ivory, natural stone and aged brass so the muted gold flecks are picked up without overpowering the pattern.

Use the cool pewter ground with warm stone, chalk white and aged brass accents for a quietly layered scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Nuvola Pewter without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
