Moda Charcoal

Dimensions FabricCCF0069-02

Moda Charcoal brings a deep, warm charcoal tone to the Dimensions collection, with an irregular woven pattern that resembles weathered horizontal marks. Subtle taupe and pale grey flecks catch across the dark ground, giving the surface considerable visual depth.

About this fabric

At 513gsm, this is a substantial fabric well suited to upholstery, with a visibly dense, tactile construction. The charcoal base reads softer and warmer than a flat black, while broken pale flecks and uneven horizontal blocks create a weathered, textural surface. Its pattern repeat measures 41cm vertically by 35cm horizontally, giving the mottled design a medium-scale presence across a chair, sofa or headboard. The 138cm usable width and 40m standard length provide practical coverage for larger upholstery projects.

How to use it

Use Moda Charcoal on a tailored sofa, occasional chair or upholstered headboard where its warm, deep tone can anchor lighter timber, stone and brushed metal. Pair it with taupe, chalky grey and softened ivory rather than stark white to echo the flecked highlights in the weave.

A weighty charcoal upholstery with a tactile, irregular flecked weave that adds depth without bright contrast.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Moda Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
