About this fabric

The 555gsm weight gives this textile a substantial, upholstery-suitable presence, while the close tonal contrast keeps the design understated. Across the warm beige-sand ground, broken vertical lines and lightly raised passages create a dry, tactile texture rather than a conventional printed stripe. The pattern repeat measures 76.5cm vertically by 35cm horizontally, allowing the elongated marks to read as quiet movement across a larger upholstered surface. At 138cm wide, Aurora Sand offers a practical format for coordinating seating and occasional upholstery.

How to use it

Use Aurora Sand on a sofa, headboard or generously shaped chair where its warm, chalky beige tone can brighten the form without looking stark. Combine it with natural timber, ivory textiles and softly aged metallic accents to echo the fabric’s muted, weathered surface.

Use this warm sand shade to soften upholstered seating while retaining subtle vertical movement.

Pairs well with

Aurora Sand is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
