Gaia Antique

Eco FabricCCF0556-01

Gaia Antique is a warm, softly weathered beige textile with a finely crossed surface that gives the plain colour visible depth. Its pale cream threads catch across the tan ground, creating a natural, tactile finish rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric

The close-up shows an irregular weave of slender horizontal and vertical threads in antique beige, tan and soft cream, with no conventional repeating motif. At 588 gsm, Gaia Antique is a substantial woven fabric well suited to upholstery, where its dense texture can add quiet character to seating. The usable width is 138 cm, with a standard length of 30 m. Both pattern repeats are 0 cm, so the crosshatch texture can be positioned without matching a printed design.

How to use it

Use Gaia Antique on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair in a warm neutral scheme, pairing its mellow beige tone with ivory, aged timber and darker brown accents for contrast.

Use this warm antique-beige weave to bring natural depth to upholstered seating, with cream accents to pick out its fine crosshatch texture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
