Abeja Linen

Abeja Linen sets sharply drawn black-and-ochre bees across a pale, warm beige ground. Its fine woven texture gives the background a softly flecked appearance while keeping the motifs clearly defined.

About this fabric

At 228 gsm, this woven textile has a versatile mid-weight handle suited to both upholstery and drapery. The 16 cm vertical and 16.9 cm horizontal repeats arrange the bees in an open, regular layout rather than a dense all-over. Black wings and bodies create crisp contrast, while the ochre-yellow bands add warmth to the otherwise neutral beige field. With a 138 cm usable width and 30 m standard length, the fabric provides practical dimensions for planning repeated lengths or coordinated upholstered pieces.

How to use it

Use the warm pale beige ground to soften a relaxed sitting room, then pick up the bee motifs' black detailing in piping, painted furniture or slim curtain hardware. The small ochre accents also pair naturally with honey, tan and muted mustard accessories.

The warm beige ground and playful bee repeat suit relaxed curtains, cushions and occasional upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Abeja Linen without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
