Artichoke Linen

Eden FabricCCF0371-02

Artichoke Linen places scattered artichoke heads across a warm cream ground, with an easy rhythm created by the generous open space between motifs. Olive leaves and stems balance the deep burgundy and plum-red flower heads, while the fine woven texture gives the surface a softly tactile appearance.

About this fabric

This 228 gsm fabric has a fine, even weave that supports the detailed artichoke forms without making the ground feel visually heavy. The 31 cm vertical repeat and 33.8 cm horizontal repeat create a medium-scale botanical arrangement, with some motifs appearing cropped at the edges of the repeat. Its 138 cm usable width is suitable for planning both upholstery details and drapery panels. A standard length of 30 m allows the warm cream, olive and burgundy colourway to be carried consistently through a larger scheme.

How to use it

Use Artichoke Linen where its warm cream background can lighten a room, then echo the olive foliage and burgundy heads in plain cushions, painted furniture or a darker accent chair. The muted, earthy palette works particularly well for relaxed curtains, occasional upholstery and botanical cushions.

Use the warm cream ground with olive and burgundy artichokes to bring a softly traditional botanical note to upholstery, cushions or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Artichoke Linen without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
