About this fabric

The colour reads as soft buttermilk rather than stark white, with a gentle yellow warmth across the even woven surface. Fine horizontal and vertical threads create a restrained texture without a visible motif or repeat. At 198 gsm, this 153 cm usable-width fabric has the feel of a versatile mid-weight suitable for both upholstery and drapery. Its vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are both 0 cm, confirming the plain, non-directional appearance seen in the swatch.

How to use it

Use Ario Buttermilk to brighten seating, cushions or full-length curtains while keeping the room warm rather than cool. Its pale cream-yellow tone pairs naturally with natural timber, warm whites and softly coloured neutrals.

A warm, pale cream-yellow plain weave that brings gentle brightness to upholstery, curtains and relaxed interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
