Little Owls Powder

Book of Little Treasures Fabrics FabricHAF0404-01

Little Owls Powder places wide-eyed owls among branching stems on a softly powdery ivory ground. Muted taupe-grey branches, dusty blush leaves and gentle olive, ochre and charcoal details give the scene a calm, lightly nostalgic character.

About this fabric

The design shows repeated owl groupings perched on slender, branching trees, with the pale background allowing each illustrated bird to remain clearly defined. This colourway is particularly soft and cool in tone: blush foliage and grey-taupe limbs sit against ivory, while olive and muted ochre plumage add restrained warmth rather than bright contrast. The 220 gsm cloth has 44 threads per cm and a usable width of 138 cm. Its pattern repeat measures 66 cm vertically by 138 cm horizontally, making the placement of the owl-and-branch composition an important part of cutting and layout.

How to use it

Use Little Owls Powder on relaxed curtains, occasional upholstery or cushions in a nursery, bedroom or quiet sitting room. Its powder ivory base works especially well with pale timber, chalky taupe, soft sage and brushed brass accents.

Use the powder ivory ground with warm woods, soft taupes and muted sage accents for a gentle woodland scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Little Owls Powder without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
