About this fabric

The fabric is woven at 300 gsm, giving the design enough substance for both upholstery and drapery applications. Its 139 cm usable width is set across a pattern with a 62.8 cm vertical repeat and a 69.1 cm horizontal repeat. In this colourway, the oyster base reads as a warm, chalky neutral rather than bright white, while the soft gold lines remain muted and gently luminous. Overlapping polygonal outlines create a medium-scale geometric rhythm, with the fine surface texture adding depth without making the pale palette look flat.

How to use it

Use Sumi Oyster/Gold to lighten a tailored chair, headboard or pair of curtains while keeping the room graphic and composed. It works particularly well with warm ivory, natural timber and brushed brass, which echo the colourway’s soft oyster-and-gold balance.

The warm oyster ground and muted gold geometry bring a refined, structured finish to upholstery, cushions or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
