Polka Pebble Charcoal

Colour 1 Fabrics FabricHAF0027-04

Polka Pebble Charcoal pairs a deep charcoal-grey ground with tightly spaced, pale pebble-like dots arranged in orderly vertical rows. The small-scale mark-making gives the surface a crisp, subtly textured appearance rather than a bold, open pattern.

About this fabric

With a supplied weight of 420 gsm and 60 threads per cm, this is a substantial textile suited to upholstery. Its 138 cm usable width provides practical coverage for furniture projects, while the design has an 11.6 cm vertical repeat and no horizontal repeat. The cool charcoal ground gives the colourway considerable depth, with the lighter dots catching the light as a restrained grey contrast. Viewed closely, the regular dot grid creates a neat woven rhythm across the surface.

How to use it

Use this cool, dark grey colourway on a tailored armchair, dining chair or headboard where its pale dot grid can add definition without dominating the room. Pair it with soft stone, chalk and muted blue-grey tones to keep the contrast calm and architectural.

Use this cool charcoal colourway to bring a crisp, graphic rhythm to upholstered seating, headboards or occasional chairs.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Polka Pebble Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
