About this fabric

The design is formed from irregular vertical strokes, with saturated navy-indigo marks cutting through softer denim, chalky cream and warm taupe accents. The uneven edges and flecked surface give the pattern a dry-brushed, almost hand-painted appearance rather than a precise geometric finish. At 218 gsm and 137 cm usable width, this mid-weight fabric is suited to both upholstery and drapery applications. The pattern has an 89 cm vertical repeat and 69 cm horizontal repeat, while the specification records 395 threads per cm.

How to use it

Use the cool indigo and denim tones against pale upholstery, light oak or soft grey walls for a crisp coastal-modern scheme. The taupe and cream marks also give enough warmth to connect the fabric with natural timber and muted beige furnishings.

The cool blue palette and painterly vertical rhythm suit contemporary upholstery, cushions and full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
