Brandon Blue

Albeck FabricF4684-02

Brandon Blue reads as a softly mottled blue with a pale, silvery cast, giving the cloth a calm, stonewashed feel. The weave shows a fine horizontal slub that adds movement without introducing a pattern.

About this fabric

Brandon Blue from the Albeck collection by Colefax and Fowler is a 144cm-wide fabric with no stated performance features and a subtle, no-repeat texture. Its composition of 48% viscose, 27% cotton, 18% polyester and 7% linen helps explain the fabric’s lightly variegated surface and dry, clothy handle. Visually, the colour sits between powder blue and grey, with a heathered quality that softens the overall effect. The fine slubbing and matte finish keep it understated and smart, rather than crisp or bright.

How to use it

Use this blue where you want a cooler, understated finish: it would suit tailored upholstery, relaxed curtains or coordinated cushions in a pale-toned interior. Pair it with chalk white, soft oak and brushed metal for a calm, contemporary look.

A cool, textural blue that works well across tailored upholstery and relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
