About this fabric
Woven in 100% polyester, Alaska Powder Blue is specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes, with a 45,000 severe contract rub test and a 146cm width. The fabric has a fine, closely finished plain appearance that lets the gentle blue-grey cast come through without distraction. In the swatch, the shade reads as a soft, cool powder blue rather than a bright primary, with a slightly dusty depth that keeps it easy to live with. At 438 grams per linear metre and 300 grams per square metre, it has enough substance for structured furnishing use while still working smoothly across windows. Manufactured in China, it is a practical plain with a polished, understated finish.
How to use it
Use it for clean-lined seating, banquettes or upholstered headboards where the cool blue can soften sharper architectural edges. It also works well as a drape in light-filled rooms, especially alongside pale oak, white paint or brushed nickel.
