Alaska Slate

Alaska Collection FabricALASKA

Alaska Slate is a quietly textured plain in a cool, even grey with a slate undertone. The surface reads smooth and understated, with a soft shift in tone that keeps the colourway from feeling flat.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester and specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes, Alaska Slate combines a practical performance profile with a restrained, contemporary look. The swatch shows a muted slate grey that leans cool rather than warm, with subtle tonal variation that gives the surface depth without introducing a visible pattern. At 146cm wide and tested to 45,000 severe contract rubs, it is a robust option for high-use schemes where a plain fabric is needed. Its 300gsm weight gives it a substantial handle that should sit well on upholstery while still making sense for tailored drapery.

How to use it

Use this slate grey as a grounding neutral alongside pale oak, chalk white or black accents for a crisp, architectural scheme. It also works well in layered tonal interiors where a cooler grey needs to anchor softer textures and natural finishes.

A versatile slate tone that feels tailored and works neatly across seating and window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
