Orchard Tree Weave Slate

A Celebration of the National Trust FabricSAF0339-01

Orchard Tree Weave Slate shows a finely worked leaf-lattice motif in a cool, pale slate grey that reads light rather than heavy. The repeating chevron shape gives the design a neat, ordered feel with a softly heritage look.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric comes from A Celebration of the National Trust and is a substantial 465gsm cloth, which gives the pattern a firm, tailored presence. The usable width is 138 cm and the design repeats every 15.5 cm vertically and 17.3 cm horizontally, so the small-scale trellis will sit evenly across larger furnishings. Visually, the ground is a soft misty grey while the motif is a slightly brighter slate white, creating a calm contrast without harshness. The weave-like leaf detail adds texture and movement, but the overall effect remains clean, restrained and polished.

How to use it

Use this slate colourway on a pair of armchairs, a banquette or boxed cushions where the disciplined leaf pattern can read clearly. It also works well with pale oak, chalky paint colours and brushed metal finishes for a crisp, understated scheme.

A crisp slate tone that feels tailored and quietly elegant in both classic and contemporary rooms.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Orchard Tree Weave Slate without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
