Orchard Tree Gardenia Green

A Celebration of the National Trust FabricSAF0341-01

Orchard Tree in Gardenia Green has a light, airy look, with softly drawn leaf sprays set in a neat repeating diamond layout. The white ground keeps the pattern crisp, while the green, blue and yellow detailing gives it a gentle botanical freshness.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric comes from A Celebration of the National Trust and is woven to a substantial 347 gsm, with a usable width of 137 cm and a standard length of 40 m. The pattern repeat is 23.5 cm vertically and 27.2 cm horizontally, which suits the orderly, mid-scale trellis rhythm visible in the design. In this colourway, the leaves read as a muted sage green, lifted by small blue berry-like dots and tiny yellow accents that stop the palette feeling flat. The overall effect is calm and tailored rather than bold, with the white background making the motif feel light despite the cloth's useful weight.

How to use it

Use it where you want a restrained botanical pattern with a fresh, cool-green edge, such as tailored curtains, Roman blinds or a pair of accent chairs. It works especially well alongside pale oak, chalky paint colours and other soft greens.

Fresh enough for curtains, with enough body for light upholstery schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
