Orchard Tree Chalk

A Celebration of the National Trust FabricSAF0340-01

Orchard Tree Chalk is a pale, chalk-white fabric with a subtle raised leaf motif that reads clean and quietly decorative across the surface. The design has a soft woven texture that catches the light rather than shouting for attention.

About this fabric

This colourway appears as an airy chalk white, with the foliage motif only just lifting from the ground in a gentle tonal contrast. The 200 gsm weight and 88 threads per cm suggest a refined, closely woven cloth that feels substantial enough for interiors, while the 130.5 cm usable width gives practical coverage. Its 23.5 cm vertical and 25.5 cm horizontal repeats create a regular, tree-like rhythm that is visible here as soft, repeating pale leaf fans. With no performance features noted, it is best chosen for schemes where the texture and pattern are the focus rather than heavy-duty use.

How to use it

Use this pale whiteground to brighten paneled rooms, window treatments or upholstered occasional pieces where a restrained pattern is wanted. The chalk tone works especially well with oak, stone and brushed metals, keeping the room light but not stark.

A crisp chalk-white leaf jacquard that suits tailored upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
