Simi Opal

Aegean Fabrics FabricSAF0074-06

Simi Opal has a soft sage ground washed with painterly pale green foliage, inky navy marks and flashes of bright magenta. The overall effect is airy and expressive, with a large-scale floral scattered across the cloth.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Aegean Fabrics collection is a printed textile with a usable width of 138 cm, a standard length of 60 m and a substantial 300 gsm weight. The design reads as a loose, brushy floral, with pale mint and sage shapes layered behind deeper navy strokes and vivid fuchsia accents. Its 63.5 cm vertical repeat and 138 cm horizontal repeat suit the broad, open rhythm of the motif, which feels especially expansive across the width. The colourway stays light and cool overall, but the magenta highlights give it a sharper, more contemporary edge than a purely soft botanical print. With 52 threads per cm, it presents a refined, tightly woven surface that supports both drapery and upholstery use.

How to use it

Use it to bring a fresh, artistic note to an upholstered occasional chair, or let the sage ground soften full-length curtains in a bright room. It works particularly well alongside pale oak, chalk white and deeper navy accents.

Let the painterly sage ground be lifted by the navy and magenta accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
