About this fabric

Marldon Slate from the Albeck collection by Colefax and Fowler is a 145cm-wide fabric with a plain repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx. Its 57% viscose, 21% cotton, 12% linen and 10% polyester composition gives the surface a softly structured handle and a subtle, low-sheen finish. In this colourway, the grey sits in a cool slate register rather than a warm charcoal, with tiny woven flecks that keep the cloth from looking flat. The overall effect is smart and restrained, with enough texture to add depth without drawing attention away from furniture lines or window dressings.

How to use it

Use Marldon Slate for a tailored sofa, neat bench seat or full-length curtains where the cool grey can anchor warmer timber and stone. It pairs especially well with pale neutrals, black accents and softly weathered metal finishes.

A muted slate tone that works cleanly on tailored upholstery or relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
