About this fabric

Marldon Terracotta from the Albeck collection by Colefax and Fowler is a 145cm-wide fabric with no repeat, giving it a clean, uncomplicated surface. The composition of 57% viscose, 21% cotton, 12% linen and 10% polyester creates the lightly crisp, lightly supple handle suggested by the small, even weave. In the image, the colour reads as a muted terracotta-beige blend rather than a bright clay tone, with warm pinky-brown flecks sitting over an oatmeal ground. That restrained mix keeps the fabric feeling textural and inviting, while the √CH fire code and care code Q 8 < T 3 add practical specification detail for made-up interiors.

How to use it

Use it on a tailored armchair, banquette or cushions where the warm terracotta note can add colour without overpowering the room. It sits especially well with timber, chalky neutrals and aged brass, and the pale ground helps it stay light in daylight.

A warm, easy-to-layer terracotta weave that works beautifully across seating and soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
