About this fabric

This Bampton fabric by Colefax and Fowler has a subtle woven character that suits a room needing warmth without a heavy pattern. The colourway is a dusty terracotta, softened by beige and blush undertones, so it feels earthy rather than bright or burnt. At approximately 140cm wide and with a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx, it is an easy plain to cut and use across larger pieces. The composition of 51% Cotton, 16% Polyester, 14% Viscose, 12% Linen and 7% Wool gives it a grounded, textile-rich handle that should sit comfortably in either upholstery or drapery applications.

How to use it

Use Alder Terracotta to add warmth to neutral seating, relaxed cushions or simple curtains where the colour can glow in natural light. It pairs especially well with oat, sand, aged brass and muted olive for a layered, earthy scheme.

A warm, easy terracotta that brings gentle colour without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
