Alder Red

Bampton FabricF4884-03

Alder Red shows as a softly mottled, warm red with a dusty, brick-leaning tone. The weave has a dry, lightly flecked surface that keeps the colour from reading flat.

About this fabric

This Bampton fabric is composed of 51% Cotton, 16% Polyester, 14% Viscose, 12% Linen and 7% Wool, giving the cloth a textured, natural handle that suits its relaxed finish. The colourway mixes terracotta, rose and muted rust notes, with tiny lighter flecks that soften the overall red and add depth across the surface. At approximately 140cm wide and with a straight repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx, it presents as a useful plain fabric rather than a patterned design. The visible weave feels resilient and tailored, making the shade particularly appealing where you want colour with a subtle, lived-in softness.

How to use it

Use this colourway on an armchair, ottoman or banquette to add warmth to pale or timber-led interiors. Its dusty red tone also sits well with flax, stone and dark walnut, where the surface texture can read clearly.

A muted red weave that brings warmth without feeling overpowering.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
