Kensington Wine

Brodsworth Fabric

Kensington Wine is a deep, brooding red with a quietly striated surface that catches the light in darker bands. The finish feels refined rather than glossy, giving the shade a settled, upholstered look.

About this fabric

This Brodsworth colourway is made from 100% polyester and comes in a 140cm width, with no pattern repeat for easy placement. The fabric shows a fine horizontal striation across the surface, so the wine tone reads with added depth rather than as a flat red. Its colour sits in a dark, earthy wine range, with brown undertones that soften the intensity and make it feel more grounded. With no performance features noted, it suits decorative schemes where the emphasis is on colour and texture.

How to use it

Use Kensington Wine on an armchair, ottoman or tailored cushions where the deep red tone can bring warmth to timber, brass and darker leathers. It also works well in moody interiors alongside charcoal, tobacco and soft taupe.

A rich wine shade with a subtle slub that adds warmth and depth.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Kensington Wine without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
