Kensington Rose

Brodsworth Fabric

Kensington Rose is a richly muted plum rose with a softly brushed, horizontal grain that gives the surface a calm, textile depth. The colour reads as a warm berry tone rather than a bright pink, with a slightly shadowed finish that helps it feel grounded.

About this fabric

Part of the Brodsworth collection by Fryett's Fabrics, this fabric is made from 100% polyester and measures 140cm wide, with a 0cm pattern repeat and care instructions NQT1<. The swatch shows a fine, linen-like crosswise striation, creating a subtle woven look rather than a flat solid. Kensington Rose sits between mulberry and dusty damson, with a low-sheen finish that softens the deeper notes in the colour. Its even surface and stable-looking body make it especially well suited to upholstery, where the shade can add richness without looking shiny or overworked.

How to use it

Pair this deep rose-plum with walnut woods, smoked brass and warm neutrals for a tailored, intimate room. It also works well as an accent on a chair or ottoman, where the subtle grain can be appreciated in the light.

Use for tailored upholstery or structured cushions to bring a rich plum note into a scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
