Kensington Peacock

Brodsworth Fabric

Kensington Peacock is a deep, softly striated blue with a cool peacock cast and a subtle linen-like surface. The close, even texture gives it a calm, tailored look rather than a glossy finish.

About this fabric

This Brodsworth colourway is made from 100% polyester and has a width of 140cm, with no pattern repeat to interrupt the surface. The visible finish reads as a fine woven texture, with darker and lighter blue threads creating a gently mottled depth across the cloth. Its peacock tone sits between blue and teal, but stays firmly cool and muted rather than bright. That makes it feel composed and versatile, especially where you want colour without a sharp contrast.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, banquette or footstool where the deep blue can anchor a scheme with wood, brass or pale neutral surrounds. It also works well in a room with layered navy and grey tones, because the surface has enough movement to keep the colour from looking flat.

A rich peacock blue that adds depth without feeling overly formal.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
