Kensington Ochre

Brodsworth Fabric

Kensington Ochre shows a softly striated surface in a rich golden ochre that reads warm and grounded rather than bright. The fine horizontal texture gives the colour a gentle sheen and a subtle sense of movement.

About this fabric

This Brodsworth fabric from Fryett's Fabrics is woven in 100% polyester and comes 140cm wide, with a 0cm pattern repeat for easy cutting and placement. In this colourway, the ochre sits between mustard and antique gold, with a muted warmth that feels more mellow than vivid. The fine ribbed texture catches the light across the surface, creating a soft tonal variation rather than a bold pattern. It has enough body for upholstery while still working well for drapery where a warmer, tailored look is wanted.

How to use it

Use Kensington Ochre to bring warmth to walnut, oak, or painted charcoal schemes, where its golden tone will lift the room without feeling loud. It pairs especially well with deep green, tobacco, or off-white accents for a layered, lived-in finish.

A warm ochre tone that adds depth without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
