Loire Ochre is a plain fabric with a warm ochre-gold surface and a softly textured linen look. Its even colour reads rich and grounded rather than bright, giving the swatch a calm, sunbaked feel.

About this fabric

From Ashley Wilde’s Verona Collection, this fabric is woven in 70% cotton and 30% linen, and is suitable for light domestic upholstery, drapes and blinds. The 142cm width and 18,000 rub test make it a practical mid-weight choice for everyday schemes. Visually, the colour sits in a muted ochre yellow with a gently earthy cast, lifted by the subtle slub and crosshatch texture of the weave. It has enough body to upholster occasional pieces and enough softness of handle to hang neatly at the window.

How to use it

Use this ochre shade to warm oak, walnut and natural stone, or pair it with chalky whites and muted greens for a grounded look. It works especially well where you want a smart, sunlit accent without a glossy finish.

A warm ochre plain that brings colour without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
