Loire Otter

Verona Collection FabricLOIRE

Loire Otter is a softly understated plain with a muted mushroom-taupe ground and a natural linen-cotton hand. The weave reads fine and calm, with just enough texture to give the surface depth.

About this fabric

From the Verona Collection by Ashley Wilde, Loire Otter is woven in 70% cotton and 30% linen, giving it a dry, natural finish that suits everyday interiors. The 142cm width and 18,000 rub test make it suitable for light domestic upholstery as well as drapes and blinds. In this colourway, the tone sits between beige and grey with a warm taupe cast, so it feels grounded rather than stark. The close plain weave catches the light gently, showing a subtle cross-thread texture rather than a flat solid.

How to use it

Use Loire Otter on occasional chairs, window seats or tailored blinds where its warm taupe tone can sit quietly with oak, stone and soft white. It is especially effective in rooms that need a neutral with more depth than cream but less contrast than brown.

A quietly versatile neutral that softens wood tones and works beautifully with linen accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
