Loire Peacock

Verona Collection FabricLOIRE

Loire Peacock is a calm peacock-teal plain with a softly woven, natural-looking surface and a gently mottled finish. The colour reads cool and composed, with enough depth to feel tailored rather than bright.

About this fabric

Woven in 70% cotton and 30% linen, this fabric has the relaxed character you’d expect from a linen-rich cloth, with the body to suit light domestic upholstery as well as drapes and blinds. The 142cm width makes it practical for a range of interior projects, while the 18,000 rub test supports everyday use in lighter domestic settings. Visually, Loire Peacock is a subdued blue-green with a slightly chalked, peacock tone and a fine, visible weave that softens the colour across the surface. At 340gsm, it feels reassuringly substantial without losing the easy, understated look of a plain.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want colour without glare: it sits neatly against oak, walnut and brushed metal, and brings depth to cream or warm white schemes. It is especially effective on tailored cushions, benches or simple curtains where the woven texture can be appreciated.

A refined teal plain that works well on upholstery or soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
