About this fabric

This colourway of Ashdown by Colefax and Fowler is woven in 100% linen and comes with a generous repeat of V 59cm / H 141cm approx on a width of 141cm approx. The ground reads as a softened teal blue rather than a bright blue, which gives the pattern a cool, slightly weathered character. Cream blossoms, blush-pink flowers and leafy greens sit across the surface with an almost tapestry-like density, but the linen keeps the finish airy. It is a good choice where you want pattern and colour without the formality of a highly polished cloth.

How to use it

The muted teal ground works well with oak, brass and aged finishes, while the blush and cream notes make it easy to layer with pale upholstery. Use it for curtains or relaxed feature drapery in rooms that can handle a fuller, more decorative floral statement.
