Bellflower Wallpaper Navy

Ashdown Wallpaper Wallpaper07127-06

Bellflower Wallpaper Navy sets ornate bellflower sprays against a muted blue-green ground that reads as deep teal rather than a stark, inky navy. Cream, parchment and soft taupe detailing gives the botanical drawing a softly aged, decorative character.

About this fabric

The cool teal background provides a deep, even field for large bellflower heads, curling stems and fine fern-like foliage. The flowers are picked out in creamy ivory with pale taupe shading, while the scrolling stems add a warmer, gently weathered contrast. As a 100% paper wallcovering, this design has a 61cm vertical half-drop repeat and an approximately 52cm horizontal repeat. Its formal botanical composition feels especially rich in this subdued, blue-green colourway.

How to use it

Pair the teal ground with warm ivory upholstery, aged brass and walnut furniture to bring out the paper’s parchment and taupe accents. In a study, dining room or bedroom, repeat the blue-green tone in plain textiles rather than competing with the detailed floral drawing.

Use this deep blue-green ground with warm ivory, antique brass and natural wood for a considered traditional scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
