About this colour

Seen on a wall, #669698 reads as a cool, medium-depth blue-green with enough grey in it to keep it settled rather than bright. It reflects a fair amount of light, so it feels open, but the colour still has body and does not disappear in a room. In north-facing light it turns more muted and a little steely, which suits its restrained side. In south-facing light the green comes forward and the shade feels fresher and more uplifting. It sits neatly beside pale oak, walnut, chalk white, and deeper blues, and the Waterbased Eggshell finish gives woodwork a smarter, quieter sheen while Active Emulsion keeps walls even and composed.

How to use it

Use it in a sitting room, study, or hallway where you want colour without heaviness. It works well with natural woodwork, deep green upholstery, warm neutrals, and linen shades with a blue or sea-green note.

A cool blue-green like this gives walls colour without making them feel heavy.

Order it with the cloth

A pot comes off the same order as the fabric, so the wall and the chair in front of it are chosen together. The making is ours: cut, sewn and fitted in our own Heybridge workshop, with Simon over every stage.

Pairs well with

Tropical Palm is a wall colour, so these are the cloths that sit against it: one of them on the curtains, the paint behind. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
