Wolsey Verdigris has a muted blue-green ground with an intricate, historically styled damask visible in softly varied tonal detail. Its gently weathered appearance gives the colourway a cool, aged depth rather than a bright teal effect.

About this fabric

The woven design is formed from repeated, shield-like damask medallions, curling foliage and fine ornamental tracery, creating a medium-scale pattern across the cloth. Its verdigris colouring sits between blue, green and grey, with the raised-looking pattern catching the light in subtly paler threads. Made from 55% viscose, 31% cotton and 14% polyester, the 124 cm wide fabric has a 69 cm vertical repeat and 31 cm horizontal repeat. Suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, it has a 35,000 Martindale rub test; professional dry cleaning is required.

How to use it

Use this cool, timeworn blue-green on a traditional armchair or sofa where the ornate damask can be seen across the upholstery, or let it fall as full-length curtains against warm timber and aged brass. Its greyed verdigris tone also works well with stone, charcoal and muted olive accents.
