About this fabric
This plain colourway has a quiet, nuanced depth rather than a flat cream appearance, with subtle tonal variation visible through the velvet pile. Its 69% viscose, 19% cotton and 12% polyester composition gives the 140 cm-wide cloth a softly lustrous surface suited to both tailored and relaxed applications. Rated at 50,000 Martindale, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The fabric must not be washed, bleached or ironed, and requires professional dry cleaning.
How to use it
Pair this oyster beige with warm timber, chalky whites and muted taupes for a calm, layered room. Its gentle sheen works particularly well on a deep sofa, occasional chair, bedspread or full-length curtain where the nap can catch changing light.
A softly luminous oyster velvet for elegant upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Pairs well with
King's Velvet Oyster is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
