King's Velvet Soft Sapphire has a deep, cool blue ground with softly clouded tonal variation across the pile. Its short velvet nap catches the light in shifting bands, giving the plain surface quiet depth rather than a printed pattern.

About this fabric

This velvet is woven from 69% viscose, 19% cotton and 12% polyester, with a 140 cm (55") width and a 50,000 Martindale rub test. The Soft Sapphire colour reads as a saturated navy-blue sapphire, while the brushed surface creates lighter blue flashes and darker pools as the nap changes direction. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Care instructions are professional dry cleaning only; do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use this cool, deep sapphire on a traditional armchair, footstool or headboard where its tonal nap can add richness without a busy motif. It also makes dramatic curtains or bedspreads against warm timber, pale stone and softly contrasting cream upholstery.
