Keats Blue

Keats FabricF3914-12

Keats Blue reads as a deep, inky blue with a softly lustrous finish and darker tonal bands across the surface. The effect is rich and moody, with the pile catching light to reveal flashes of midnight and slate.

About this fabric

This Colefax and Fowler fabric is composed of 70% viscose and 30% cotton, giving the swatch a smooth, lightly shimmering handle that feels more decorative than casual. The design has no repeat, and in this colourway the broad horizontal striations appear as dark navy and blue-black bands rather than a crisp stripe. At 142cm wide, it offers a practical cloth width for larger upholstery or full-length curtains. The overall impression is luxurious but restrained, with the sheen lifting the deeper blue ground as light moves across it.

How to use it

Use Keats Blue on an armchair, sofa or ottoman to bring depth to pale interiors, or pair it with chalky neutrals and polished wood for a sharper contrast. It also works well as drapery where the rich blue bands can read almost velvet-like in daylight.

A dramatic blue with a soft sheen that suits tailored upholstery and statement drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
