Jenson Slate Blue

Jenson Linen FabricF4773-07

Jenson Slate Blue is a quietly tailored linen with a fine herringbone-like surface and a cool, muted blue-grey tone. The tiny chevron texture gives it just enough movement to feel refined without reading busy.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% linen, this Jenson Linen colourway has a narrow repeat of V 0cm / H 1cm approx and a width of 144cm approx, making it a practical choice for many interior projects. The visible ground is a soft slate blue with a greyed, mineral cast rather than a bright or nautical blue. Its small zigzag weave catches the light subtly, so the surface feels textural and calm rather than shiny. With no performance features noted, it keeps an authentic natural-linen character that suits classic, relaxed schemes. The overall effect is smart and restrained, with a cooler depth that pairs easily with timber, stone and pale neutrals.

How to use it

Use it on a tailored occasional chair, ottoman or Roman blind where the small-scale weave can be appreciated up close. The muted slate blue also layers well with chalky whites, brushed greys and dark wood finishes.

A cool, understated blue that works beautifully in tailored upholstery or soft drapery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Jenson Slate Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
