Keats Antique Red

Keats FabricF3914-15

Keats Antique Red reads as a deep, timeworn red with glowing coppery highlights across the surface. The finish catches the light with a soft, velvety shimmer rather than a flat colour block.

About this fabric

Woven in 70% viscose and 30% cotton, this fabric has a supple, plush handle that suits it to upholstered pieces where its lustre can be seen from different angles. The image shows an antique red tone softened by brown and rust undertones, giving the surface a warm, aged character rather than a bright scarlet look. The all-over effect is almost clouded, with lighter copper flecks breaking through the deeper red ground and adding movement. With no repeat and an approximate width of 142cm, it is straightforward to pattern-match and versatile across larger spans of furniture or soft furnishings.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a sofa, armchair or upholstered headboard where its rich red-brown depth can anchor a room. It pairs especially well with dark wood, brass and muted neutrals that let the coppery sheen stand out.

A rich, aged red with a velvety lustre that brings warmth and depth to classic interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
